ING takes approximately 3-4 weeks to deploy in its standard form and approximately 6-8 weeks for the Netflow-based ING-Plus version. The following tasks and activities form the basis of the implementation:

• Agree colour scheme and branding of web pages
• Agree logical breakdown and grouping of network components
• Agree physical location of server
• Installation of server and remote management link
• Reconfiguration of all monitored routers with new snmp RO community string and associated access-list
• Configure Netflow switching on core Datacentre routers (for ING-Plus only)
• Polling of routers and ING configuration
